exploding fruit
Growing up, my mother gave me lots of warnings in life -- "Look both ways before crossing the street", "Always speak to everyone politely", and "Always wear clean underwear - you never know when you'll be in an accident!" Much to my surprise, she never explained not to approach a vagrant's fruit. It turns out that this might be one of the most horrible of all crimes. It will even get you stabbed in downtown Fort Worth!
I'm always complaining that we don't have enough excitement around work. It looks like my wish for action was fulfilled. Although, I wasn't really looking for a stabbing to "pep" up the area. Yesterday, returning from our lunch hour, Becky C. and I came across several police cruisers and an ambulance sitting next to Zippy's American Grill. We could see an officer holding a steak knife, so we assumed it was a stabbing. Later in our walk back to the office, we came across a splattered apple. Little did we know that an obliterated apple was the cause of the entire ruckus. Fortunately, no one was hurt seriously. Click here for all of the details

i'm on top of the world!

Becky C. (the Becky that I work with) is on vacation this week. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, she was able to send this photograph from the Top of Texas via her cellphone. Nothing like being able to join in on an experience as it happens from hundreds or thousands of miles away. Hard to believe that we actually have mountains here, huh? Growing up in North Texas, I often forget that there is more to the state than just grasslands. Enjoy the picture. It really makes me want to take off on a vacation myself!

precious little one
Last Thursday, several of us from work seized the opportunity to visit Thao, Nguyen, and thier new arrival, Rachel. We were all very excited to get the chance to see their precious little girl. She is absolutly adorable. I've put up baby Rachel's hospital pictures and the pictures from our visit Thursday. Be sure to check out the new Pham family photos.
