texas snowpeople
We were rewarded with a Valentine's Day treat this year. Snow in Texas! And I'm talking about honest to goodness snow. Not the typical ice or - at best - icy mix we usually get once every year or two. It was a beautiful site to see the giant flakes tumbling down earlier today. Unfortunately, like is also the case here in Texas, by midafternoon the rise in temperature was quickly taking its toll on the snow. I expect by tomorrow, most of it will be completely gone. While it lasted, we did accumulate 3 or 4 inches.
Before everything melted away, I took a quick drive around the neighborhood and snapped photos of the snowpeople my neighbors had rolled together. (Plus, I didn't have to get my own hands cold that way...
) It was nice change to the typical winter face of Texas. Click here to see for yourself.

she's a dancin' queen
It was about time for me to update the pictures. So, I've added a couple of new entries. (Did you check out Debbie's groove on the left?)
The first set of pictures was from this year's Hanukkah celebration. We were a little late on getting everyone together, but we had a great time all the same. Sharon hosted this year and we had a wonderful time. Here are the photos.
The second set of pictures are from the offshore team I work with. Their company, CTS, conducted a meet for all of the vertical services for which they provide consulting. Let me quote from Kirshore, one of the team members:
The idea behind V-Meet (Vertical Meet) is to enlighten the co-associates with the happenings/projects going on in the other verticals. Each vertical sets up a small stall to achieve this with all the information about the clients Cognizant deals with. This essentially contains the client posters, running presentations on the latest technologies, some innovative and relevant games, prizes etc.
Here are the photos from the Vertical Meet.

get your news here!
Just a quick note to point out that I've added RSS Content (content that can be read with a new aggregator) to the site. Don't know what that is? Check out the link for above. Lockergnome does a good job of explaining it and helping you get started. Once you have news aggregation software or have joined an online site like Bloglines you can subscribe by clicking the RDF Icon included below the date or click here.
In brief, it means that you can get a website to transmit new content to you when it is created -- rather than having to make sure to visit all of your favorite sites periodically to check for updates. Of course, you are often going to want to visit the site after you receive your news update to get the full content.
In the case of thelennards.com, as new site entries are entered you'll receive it. You'll still want to check the site for photo and link updates, but this will keep you posted on any new blog entries that have been created or edited. Who knows? I might even finish the last 5 days of the French Polynesia trip. In the meantime, I'll try to post some more RSS and news aggregator sources for a variety of operating systems in the next couple of days.
