Today's Pictures (Day 8, October 25, 2003)
Today was my first diving day in Bora Bora. It turned out to be much better diving than Moorea. Although, after the morning dive, I was beginning to wonder if my diving in French Polynesia was doomed to be a series of bad luck dives.
Let's get the boring dive stuff out of the way:
1st Dive Info:
Location: Anau, Bora Bora
Time In: 9:28a - 3000 psi Time Out: 10:33a 500 psi
Max Depth: 63 ft Bottom Time: 65 minutes (3 minutes safety stop)
Temps - Air: 80 F Surface: 80F Bottom: 79F
Visibility: 10 ft
2nd Dive Info:
Location: Toopua, Bora Bora
Time In: 2:13p - 2800 psi Time Out: 3:14p 300 psi
Max Depth: 81 ft Bottom Time: 61 minutes (3 minutes safety stop)
Temps - Air: 81 F Surface: 80F Bottom: 78F
Visibility: 40 ft
Maradive is the dive operator on property at the Sofitel Marara. Shortly after we had arrived the day before, I made the short walk to their shop on the beach and signed up for 4 dives. I didn't get enough diving in Moorea and was itching for more bottom time. The next morning, I arrived at 8:30 am ready to make my first dive off Bora Bora.

take it with you

Just a quick administrative note to let you know I've added a link for the latest entry in a layout without the side menus. It will work much better for any of you that want to read the blog on your handheld browser. Just add it to your mobil favorites and you'll get any updates when you sync your pda. I've added a link in the menu on the right. Or just click here.
I've thought about a WAP page, but I'm afraid a blog is just too much text for that small of a screen. And so many special considerations exist with WAP. I might still give it a whirl for grins someday, though. Neverending projects... ![]()

I figured since I've made several changes to the site, it was about time that I posted some actual content. I've updated several sets of pages today.
The first set of pictures is from Becky's office department holiday party. Click here for the pictures. I've just put generic captions on them. If any of you Accor folks have better captions, please send them my way. I know y'all can do better than what I have.
Becky and I had a great holiday this year. I'm also put up pictures from my Mom's house on Christmas day here. We had a great time. It was nice to see Doug, Angie, Hadley, Sean, and Lillian. It had been much too long since we'd all had a chance to get together.
Thao brought up some new photos of Rachel. Check here for those. The holiday photos are so cute. Little Rachel is going to steal the show.
smile when you are happy

I've been meaning to turn on the emoticon feature of GM. I finally got off of my lazy duff and did it.
You can also use them in your comments. Just a bit of silliness to add to my sometime endless rambling.
After all, what is a blog without smilies?!??
Special thanks to Rock for creating the smiley images I am using!

If you happened to try logging onto the site in the last couple of days, you may have experienced some problems. The site has been in the midst of a complete rewrite. Although it may not be very apparent on the surface, the site is completely new.
Before I go much further, let me give you some help with the new page. As much as I hate to be one of the people who say this, the site really is best viewed with Internet Explorer 6 SP1. I've also tested it with Netscape 7.1. It works well with both, but Netscape has a few anomalies that I can't explain. I always hate having to push a particular web browser. However, I don't have the time or the patience to try and make sure the site works well the many web browsers available out there today. That being said -- if you come across a big problem in how the site is being displayed, please let me know. Be sure to tell me which operating system and web browser you are using.
Enough babbling... What does this mean to you? Well... not much right now. However, I've really simplified the construction of the site. This will allow me to apply updates quicker and to add new features much easier. So, in the future, these changes should mean a whole lot for thelennards.com. The site now has a much more solid foundation for expansion.
